dated back 2,500 years. The knot is believed to be invented in
ancient Persia (Iran). Persian carpets are the most famous in the
world. Turkey, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan and China are other
suppliers. In general, the pattern or design of a rug can be floral or geometric. The pile of a rug can be either 100% wool, 100% silk, or a combination of the two. Traditional colors are reds and navies. |
